About me

My name is Philip Sandberg. I am currently living in Södra Sandby, right outside of Lund, together with my wife and three kids. I was the mayor of Lund between 2018 and 2022. I am currently leading the opposition.

I have a background in civil society where I have worked with vulnerable children and young people, but also on issues related to entrepreneurship, the labor market and EU project development.

Lund is the place where tradition and innovation meet, where distances are short and research is among the world’s best. It is one of the oldest cities in Scandinavia with a university established in 1666 that is ranked among the world’s top 100 universities.

Politics

I love Lund. Lund is a wonderful city with everything from a unique medieval cultural heritage to a top-notch university that attracts students and researchers from around the world. Here we have an atmosphere of openness and tolerance, and an environment where ideas and knowledge thrive.

But Lund can be even better to meet a future which is characterized by increased demands for creativity and talent, and decreased distances between people and markets around the world. To meet this future, I will always work for delivering high quality education, developing our infrastructure, ensuring security, and allowing personal responsibility to pay off.

I believe that in Lund every person should be able to shape their own life in order to make their dreams come tro.
